My Google interview processes have been very positive nevertheless, but Toptal is just much better.According to FlexJobs, there are more work-from-anywhere jobs now than ever. Overall, to me, the whole Toptal interview process beats the Google one. I personally had a lot of fun with the demo project I learned a lot of stuff for the first time. Toptal also asks you to do a demo project, while Google doesn't. On the other hand, your longest interview with a Toptaler is no longer than 1 hour, at home, and the next interview is in days or even weeks. I remember not having the energy to do anything the day after. This eases the nervousness a little bit.Īlso, Google tries to cram 5 on-site tech interview in one day. Also, Google asks you to code on a whiteboard, which might seem unnatural to some folks, myself included while Toptal does it via screen sharing, and you can use your favorite IDE. Toptal is a Silicon Valley startup that helps connect employers to freelancers - and they're big, real big. These are high paying jobs for companies who know and believe in the remote work future.
